The acoustic movable wall were installed by SINO CONSTRUCTION, in accordance with the design specifications set out by the interior architecture and design firm, BAH Architects. YY Walls were asked to assist with the final design of the operable walls and the supporting headers required. This was necessary due to significant issues with the existing mechanical pipework. YY Walls were chosen because of their proven expertise in overcoming similar mechanical and structural problems in the past.

Movable walls are acoustic office partitions that can be removed to create adaptable and functional spaces, and are commonly used to create conference rooms, boardrooms, breakout rooms, and multipurpose spaces, giving clients more flexibility in their office. Offering different acoustic performance for each application, these office partition walls are suitable for a variety of uses and are attractive and easy to use. In this case, movable walls were installed between two meeting rooms to allow the space to be opened up into a larger room when required. YY Walls had to ensure that, in doing so, the acoustic performance was maintained and the end user’s speech privacy was guaranteed.
